Kiama NSW is an independent social media first local guide dedicated to helping people explore the Kiama region and the wider South Coast of New South Wales.
I moved to Kiama in 2025.
This wasn’t the first time I’d landed somewhere new and had to learn it from scratch. But this time I decided to do it better, and learn faster. I set myself a challenge to fast track my knowledge of this region. The local parks, the coastal walks, the lookouts, the cafés, the things locals know but aren’t typically covered in your tour guides.
To keep myself honest, I made a commitment, to myself, for myself: two new Instagram posts a week, every week, for a year. A record of what I was finding, and proof I was actually following through.
I’m eight months in. I’ve kept the promise every week so far, and I’m having so much fun that by now I have added Facebook, Pinterest, and this website, because some of what I was learning needed more room than reel captions could hold.
The more I explore, the more there is to find. Kiama and the wider South Coast don’t run out. I’m not sure they ever will.

Everything on this site is chosen independently. It grows as I keep exploring, as seasons change, and as the region keeps giving me new places to add to the list. I’m documenting new discoveries as I find them, and as I see them. Eight months down on the promise I made myself, four to go, and no plan to stop after that.
